The Scriptures - New 2009 Editions

In Beit Ha Mishkan uses this version for our weekly Torah Parashah to be use for the Aliyah Reading at the Pulpit. It is a Bonded leather hard cover Large print 8.3 x 11.7 inches [210 x297 mm] with wide margin. The rest of congregation uses the same version soft Cover Edition 6.3X8.3 inches [160 x 210mm] and the A literal translation of the Tanakh/Old Testament based upon the Hebrew Masoretic Text, and the Messianic Writings/New Testament based on the Textus Receptus Greek Text, modifications to these being made as appropriate in the light of other vital sources. You will notice that the order of the books in the Pre-Messianic Scriptures (Old Testament) are in the Hebraic order with Torah (Law) first, then the Nebi'im (Prophets), then the Kethubim (Writings). This makes for a learning curve for most people who are used to the traditional English versions. The names of the Heavenly Father and His Mashiach are in Hebrew letters. Also, the names of persons in scripture are more accurately transliterated into English. For instance,"Yaakov" is "Ya'aqob".

Quotations / Allusions from the Tanakh (O.T.) are in bold type in the Second Writings (N.T.), and are accompanied by the text references - aiding your understanding of the original contexts, and how they influence the writers drawing upon them.

The Scriptures has added Colorful Maps, Timelines and Illustrations. These Maps are all in Hebraic Transliterated Names.

At the Appendix of the book, there are some charts and illustration added to enhance learning.
